Community Connection: Spotlight on Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale
What They Do:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale serves thousands of youth at nine club locations within Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Mesa, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Hualapai Nation. Inside their doors, youth development professionals and mentors provide guidance, support and encouragement in a safe environment in order to keep these youth productive and safe during critical non-school hours. Their outcome-based programming assures that success is within reach for all kids and teens, no matter their circumstances.
How Can You Help?
Become a Member – The club offers more than 100 fun-filled, value-based programs that include arts and crafts, games, team sports, homework help, and so much more. The membership includes access to all of the clubs for “drop in” activities.
Volunteer – There are a variety of ways to get involved including Program Volunteers, Sports Volunteers, Special Event Volunteers and Thrift Shop Volunteers.
