Shoebox Ministry is a non-profit service organization with an ongoing program for the collection and distribution of personal hygiene kits to the homeless and working poor. Shoebox assembles and distributes these kits to over 60 Valley shelters and agencies. Located in Scottsdale, Shoebox Ministry has been serving our Valley community since 1988.
How Can You Help?
Participate in the Summer Toiletry Drive! Imagine being homeless and without the basic comforts of hygiene – particularly during the sweltering summer months. Now is the time that our Valley’s homeless are most vulnerable.
With many of us traveling during the summer, it’s easy to make collecting toiletries a part of your vacation! Be sure to pick up those free hotel toiletries while you travel. Further, while you’re shopping for your own family, simply grab an extra toothpaste or shampoo to donate.
Shoebox Ministry needs our help all year long. Here are other ways to assist:
- Donate toiletries – travel-size or full-size items are welcome and can be dropped off at their Scottsdale office near Sweetwater/Hayden.
- Receive a tax credit for a cash donation – Arizona’s Charitable Tax Credit allows a credit against your state income tax for voluntary cash contributions.
- Fry’s Community Rewards Program – Simply enroll your Fry’s V.I.P. card and select Shoebox Ministry as the agency you want to support. Every time you shop at Fry’s, Shoebox will receive a reward.
