Community Connection: U & Improved Leadership Foundation

WHAT THEY DO
The U & Improved Leadership Foundation (U&ILF) empowers teens to face challenges and opportunities with confidence and gives them the tools to make decisions that positively impact their lives, the lives of their families and their communities. Its teen leadership program, U the Teen Leader, is a multi-day intensive training class that challenges students to discover who they are and to become strong, confident, compassionate leaders in school, sports and life.
The foundation’s mission is three-fold:
1. Raise funds through community partnerships and private donations.
2. Identify teenagers who would benefit from leadership development training but lack funds for tuition.
3. Award scholarships to these deserving teens to cover the tuition and grant them the opportunity to graduate from this rewarding leadership development program.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Donate: Through tax deductible private donations and corporate grants to offer scholarships for the program, you can positively impact a young person’s life in more ways than you may ever know.
Nominate: If you know of a teen, aged 14-18, that would be a worthy recipient of a scholarship; you’re invited to submit their application for program eligibility.
