Community Connection: Spotlight on Don’t Be a Chump! Check for a Lump!
Posted on September 17, 2019 by Laura LuckyWHAT THEY DO:
Working to assist women in the fight against breast cancer, Don’t be a Chump! Check for a Lump! was formed by Holly Rose, a breast cancer survivor who was inspired by the love and support she was shown from the community during her illness. The organization provides free mammograms, and free wigs to women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. They publish 60,000 copies annually of a breast health magazine that is distributed for free access to medical offices, health fairs, events and more. With education at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer, they offer free wellness workshops with a mission to empower women with tangible steps to lower one’s risk of breast cancer.
