Pamper Your Houseguests in Style

Many of us in Scottsdale will be hosting out-of-town guests over the holidays and through the spring. Taking a cue from some of our area’s finest resorts, we gathered some tried-and-true ideas to turn your guest room into a relaxing retreat. Just be careful…your guests may never want to leave!
Sleep Tight
Many people don’t sleep as well when they’re away from home. Attempt to remedy that with the most comfortable mattress and bedding you can afford. Think high-thread-count sheets, a warm and fluffy duvet, plenty of pillow loft options, and additional blankets at the ready.
Share Our Local Charm
Providing your guests with reading materials is made extra interesting when you stock their room with magazines and books with a local flavor. You may consider books on the Sonoran Desert, travel guides to the Valley, historical reads on our Western culture, even Arizona true-crime stories for mystery lovers.
Satisfy the Munchies
Leaving a basket of snacks and beverages will be one of your most appreciated gestures as your guests may not feel comfortable scrounging through your kitchen when they get hungry. Score extra points by supplying foods grown or made in Arizona! Setting up a pod brewing machine in their room with coffee and tea is always a nice touch too!
Hook ‘em Up!
Create a notecard that has your Wi-Fi password and any gate codes or security codes they may need while staying with you. Same goes if you have streaming services for TV that you’d like to share access to.
Wrap Them in Comfort
When it comes to packing efficiently, most of us need to prioritize what comes with us – and a fluffy robe and slippers often don’t make the cut. So, supplying your guests with both will ensure they are able to relax in comfort after a long day of hiking our gorgeous desert trails or shopping till they drop in our fantastic local boutiques!
Keep it Personal
One of our favorite ideas for making your guests feel welcome is to include a framed photograph of you and them together, either on the nightstand or dresser, along with a personal note letting them know how happy you are that they’re visiting.
